My Childhood Memories, Rendered in 3D

For my first 3D animation, LUCKY’S, I tried to take inspiration from written poetry and create something reserved yet sincere. Through scattered memories, I recounted my experience growing up on my dad’s food truck.

Aside from the writing of the narration, a big challenge was pairing that narration with the visuals in a way that felt appropriate. But ultimately, I’m proud of the result. The combination of unlike elements created opportunities for abstraction and surprise. And moreover, I was excited (and nervous) to share a personal slice of my life.
